Currently undergoing translation
Protestantism comprises a great variety of churches belonging to five main branches, namely Lutheran, reformed, evangelical, Anglican and Pentecostal. The Fédération Protestante de France (French Protestant Federation) includes most French Protestant Churches which all claim the six great principles
- Glory to God alone,
- Grace alone,
- the Bible alone,
- Faith is essential,
- universal priesthood,
- never-ceasing Reformation.

Le protestantisme en régions
Currently undergoing translation

Arts, sciences and letters
Over the years, Protestants have distinguished themselves in the arts, sciences and letters. Under the Ancien Régime, i.e. before the Revolution, there were many among engravers and jewellers, two professions traditionally linked. Some names are famous, such as Bernard Palissy, Ambroise Paré, Abraham Boss, Denis Papin and André Gide. Others are less well-known, and we hope you will discover or re-discover them. |

Currently undergoing translation
